Kitchen, Library, Roof Terrace and a Sitting Room
with Wood-Burning Stove, DVD Player and Panoramic
View of the Ocean
La Diouana is a luxurious family-friendly villa
overlooking the lagoon. Situated near the old
kasbah, the house has been refurbished using a
combination of modern and traditional Moroccan
techniques. All rooms have moucharrabieh woodwork
and tadlakt (polished plaster) floors. The house
has three en-suite bedrooms, large kitchen, library,
roof terrace and a sitting room with wood-burning
stove, DVD player and panoramic view of the ocean.
There is also a self-contained cottage in the
garden with terracotta floors, kitchen/sitting
room, bedroom, bathroom and patio.
The garden is a secluded oasis of palm trees,
mimosa, hibiscus, oleander, bougainvillea and
many other shrubs and flowers. Under three hours
from Marrakech, the pace at La Diouana is slow
and unhurried. By day you can sunbathe or snooze
on the roof terrace, gazing down at the lagoon
far below you. By night, you can look up at a
panoply of stars with only the distant roar of
the sea and the rustle of wind in the tamarisk
The villa sleeps six people. The cottage sleeps
up to two adults and one child. Currently the
cottage is only available as a supplement to the
main villa, although we may offer it on its own
in the future.
Abdillah, the gardien, lives two minutes away
and will cheerfully help with suggestions and
assistance throughout your stay.
